The VGI-9 target guidance system is a cutting-edge technology designed to significantly enhance the precision and operational effectiveness of FPV drones in combat environments.
Its core function is to acquire, autonomously track, and neutralize a target preselected by the drone operator. Once the operator visually identifies the target and positions the drone’s cursor, the VGI-9 system activates autonomous tracking—keeping the target locked in view until successful engagement.
This eliminates the need for further operator input. Whether the target is stationary or in motion, the system ensures reliable and accurate strike execution.
The VGI-9 target guidance system offers a range of critical advantages that enhance both operational efficiency and mission success. One of its key benefits is the reduction in operator workload—pilots no longer need to manually maneuver the drone to keep a target in view, simplifying control and lowering the required skill level.
The system also ensures high targeting accuracy, delivering precise strikes regardless of the target’s type, size, location, or level of camouflage. It is highly effective against moving targets as well, reliably engaging objects traveling at speeds of up to 80 km/h.
Designed to withstand hostile environments, the VGI-9 operates effectively even under intense electronic warfare conditions, maintaining performance in the presence of signal interference.
Additionally, the integrated cruise control mode optimizes flight by minimizing unnecessary maneuvers and maintaining a stable speed. This not only conserves energy but also extends flight duration and improves overall mission efficiency.
The VGI-9 target guidance system is integrated with leading drone manufacturers in Ukraine. We work closely with top domestic FPV drone producers to ensure stable mass production and reliable technical support.
Among the first partners to integrate the VGI-9 system were Vyriy Drone and General Chereshnya.
To purchase drones equipped with the VGI-9 system, you can contact these manufacturers directly or submit a request via the official VGI-9 website.
No, the VGI-9 module is not sold separately.
Our technology is offered exclusively as part of fully assembled drones developed in partnership with trusted Ukrainian manufacturers. The system is already integrated into drones from leading domestic producers, ensuring stable and highly effective performance.
If you are a military service member or volunteer and would like to learn more about drones equipped with the VGI-9 system, please submit a request through our website. We’ll be happy to provide all necessary information and answer any questions you may have.
Learning to operate the VGI-9 target guidance system is straightforward thanks to its intuitive interface and ergonomic design.
Basic training requires minimal time. Operators can begin using the system effectively after a short briefing, as it was specifically developed to be accessible even to those with no prior experience with similar technologies. Visual cues and a logical control layout further support quick onboarding.
Additionally, a free training course for active military personnel is available at the SKY PILOTS training center in the Kyiv region, focusing on the use of the VGI-9 optical guidance system.
The course was developed in close collaboration with SKY PILOTS instructors and the engineers behind the VGI-9. The program includes theoretical instruction, hands-on practice with simulators, and live field exercises.
